Chlorine and Problems

There may be chlorine in my eyes but

I can still see you,

I’m in a swimming pool filled with

Sun burns and laughing bodies

Paddling their way toward each other,

For tagging and head dunking action in mind

In a man-made swimming pit like this one

I don’t think about my scalp being scorched by sun rays

Or the fact that I could fail the eleventh grade,

Because this place makes me smile

And feel like a mermaid from the Disney movies

Yeah, i'm surrounded by chlorine

With past mistakes carried by regrets,

But i'm here with you

We can swim with our man-made ocean pool of problems

And laugh as the waves bob us like fish bait,

So at least, for a minute,

We can forget with recklessness

And recognize WE ARE HUMAN,

Furthermore we make mistakes, but they do not define us

a thing I photoshopped
