Dear Dandelion,

Look at you. Your buried in your bed for hours on end and for what?

Daydreaming of him walking through your bedroom door isn’t going to make him suddenly appear. This isn't a fairy tale, and love isn’t easy.

It’s okay that you broke your promise. The recovery path isn’t a straight line; there are hills and valleys to hop and climb over, and dips were met. It’s okay, don't feel guilty for your mistake.

Don’t worry so much about the future. Yeah, it’s scary to be eighteen and an adult, but that doesn’t mean you should sit there petrified beneath a blanket. You just gotta slip on your heels, smear on some cherry lipstick, and take your steps with the pride of a lioness. It’s time to go out and make bold impressions to bosses and demons.

Sure, you have been placed in a garden with petunias and daisies, but you are a dandelion. A dandelion with the courage and confidence that the lioness carries, and that is stronger than any pretty petal out there. Good luck, I believe in you.

yours,

Dandelion.

P.s,

get out of bed, this isn’t your coffin. You need to eat, and you have a responsibility to meet. You have people who love you and want to see you smile, so go out and shine.
